Tyler Kinert - photographer & videographer based in Southern Oregon
Hello friends. my name is Tyler Kinert.
I was born in Puyallup, Washington in 1990 and spent my younger years growing up in Novato (California) in Marin County. When I was about 13, my family moved us here to Southern Oregon where I still live, and I absolutely love Southern Oregon. I spend the majority of my days with my amazing fiancé, who is my biggest supporter and fan of my work. I cherish moments hanging out with my Pitbull & Golden Retriever "Krueger" & "Oliver," going on hikes, traveling, and trying to see all the amazing places that I can. I have a goal of trying to visit all the National Parks in the United States before I kick the bucket. In 2024, we are eagerly anticipating the arrival of our first child into this world, and I am looking forward to the indescribable joy of earning the title "Dad".
I embarked on my photography journey in 2007 during my High School years, initially learning the basics of camera operation. As a youngster, I often borrowed my parents' camera or video camera to craft movies, but it wasn't until others began to request my photos after seeing them online that I began to take photography seriously. Initially, I undertook small photography tasks free of charge. In 2019, after years of honing my craft, I made the decision to establish a business, determined to pursue a long-held dream: becoming my own boss.
And that is where “Lost in the Trees Media” began…
As a member of Southern Oregon’s small but vibrant creative community, I think I bring a different perspective to my work. Whether I’m photographing the exceptional landscapes of Southern Oregon, capturing special moments of a wedding, working on ads and commercials or setting the look for independent films, I always strive to put the story first.
